Kyiv, February, 19, 2010 – Avellum Partners, a law firm specializing in corporate
finance, welcomes as its new partner Glib Bondar, one of the leading Ukrainian banking and
finance lawyers, who worked on most capital markets transactions out of Ukraine.
Kyiv, 29 January 2010 — Avellum Partners acted as a legal advisor to the shareholders of Vik Oil Group on the sale of the Group’s shares in favor of Russian-British company “TNK-BP”. The parties entered into respective agreement at the end of December 2009, while the closing of the transaction is planned for the 1st quarter of 2010.
Avellum Partners is the legal partner of the II Annual Legal Conference “Mergers and Acquisitions in Ukraine”, which will be held on 27 November 2009 in Kyiv.
Avellum Partners which was established in July 2009 is forming one of the biggest teams in the Ukrainian legal market, which specializes in M&A, capital markets and restructurings. In particular, three new experienced attorneys, who specialize in the said areas — Yuriy Nechayev, Iryna Nikolayevska and Volodymyr Solohub, formerly with Baker & McKenzie — joined Avellum Partners in October this year.
