Avellum Partners which was established in July 2009 is forming one of the biggest teams in the Ukrainian legal market, which specializes in M&A, capital markets and restructurings. In particular, three new experienced attorneys, who specialize in the said areas — Yuriy Nechayev, Iryna Nikolayevska and Volodymyr Solohub, formerly with Baker & McKenzie — joined Avellum Partners in October this year.
In addition to Yuriy Nechayev`s primary focus in M&A, capital markets and restructurings, he is involved in a number of telecommunication projects and projects in the field of Kyoto Protocol. Iryna Nikolayevska’s additional expertise spans over banking and finance, meanwhile Volodymyr Solohub’s additional specialization covers antitrust law.
As of today a total of nine attorneys, including two partners, are working on various projects at Avellum Partners. All attorneys have an extensive expertise in M&A transactions in different areas, including retail, telecommunications, financial services, insurance, real estate, FMCG and natural resources.

Iryna Nikolayevska, associate
Ms. Nikolayevska’s primary focus is mergers and acquisitions, capital markets and corporate law. Irina’s additional expertise spans over banking and finance.
Iryna Nikolayevska successfully advised numerous leading Ukrainian and international clients in their initial public offerings (IPOs), sale of shares in banks and financial institutions, as well as advised various clients on general corporate law and securities issues.
Prior to joining Avellum Partners Iryna worked as an associate with the Kyiv office Baker & McKenzie, CJSC “Foyil Securities New Europe” and Prominvestbank.
Iryna Nikolayevska graduated from the Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University with a Master of Law degree. Iryna is fluent in two foreign languages.
Volodymyr Solohub, associate
Mr. Solohub’s primary areas of specialization include corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, as well as antitrust law.
Volodymyr successfully advised Ukrainian developers and agricultural companies with respect to their potential IPOs, worked on various M&A transactions and corporate restructurings, advised international telecommunication companies and financial corporations on the Ukrainian antitrust law.
Prior to joining Avellum Partners, Volodymyr worked as an associate with the Kyiv office of Baker & McKenzie and other international and Ukrainian law firms, as well as with one of the departments of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
Mr. Solohub graduated from “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” National University with a Master of Law degree.Volodymyr speaks four foreign languages.
Yuriy Nechayev, associate
Mr. Nechayev’s primary focus is mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and corporate law. Yuriy has a strong experience in IPOs, as well as the expertise in successful implementation of projects under Kyoto Protocol. In addition, Yuriy has significant experience advising Ukrainian and international companies on their commercial activities in Ukraine.
Prior to joining Avellum Partners, Yuriy worked at the Kyiv office of Baker & McKenzie.
Yuriy Nechayev graduated from the Institute of International Relations of the Kyiv International University with a Master of International Law degree. Yuriy speaks four foreign languages.
